My 2026 bass practice

If you want a song to power your wrist, this is the one! I don't believe that I can actually play this one!

I asked CHatGPT to name 10 rocks songs that are ballads, and voila, Angie came up. 

I always wanted to learn that song, but I didn't know how nuance it is to play. Talk about leaving space... and being precise

You'll have to watch why my dog featured on my thumbnail... Not sure if she was trying to reconcile :)

At any rate: my goals were:

1) to listen to the song and write out the chord progression  (tick)

2) play roots notes only to make sure that I know the song (tick)

3) find a tutorial on Youtube to show me how and where to play the fills (tick) 

4) to play the song in it's entirety with the fills (no-tick)

5) to show how I practiced fills with my Vidami- video looper. (tick)

I didn't quite make it without a hitch, but I only really gave myself 2 days to do this as I have 3 jazz songs to learn, and other songs with my band-- so I challenged myself to learn a new song by ear, and I'm happy. 

I'll come back to it a bit later on to really nail it-- so enjoy my dog, and the song, of course!
